'Jesus' Patience Jonathan
Nigerians may need a new orientation unless they want to risk advanced sycophancy like that of Rivers and Bayelsa States. When the print media and online reporters published screaming headlines that first lady Patience Jonathan embarked on a journey to River State in order to plot the impeachment of Governor Rotimi Amaechi, the office of the first lady denied such agenda until five anti-Amaechi lawmakers including Evans Bapakaye Bipi, a worshipper of Jesus Patience Jonathan tried to take over the house in a failed attempt to impeach the Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly Otelemaba Dan Amachree. According to YouTube, Bipi claimed that Patience Jonathan is his Jesus Christ and political mother. He intends to keep fighting for Jesus Patience and the President under the pretense of justice.
The five lawmakers, like their Jesus Patience Jonathan did not know that five lawmakers were insufficient to permanently impeach the speaker. They took the law into their hands and turned Rivers State House of Assembly into a boxing stadium. Anti-Amaechi lawmaker Michael Okechukwu Chinda sustained injuries and was hospitalised. Satisfied with the way her political thugs performed, the Jesus of Rivers State took a swipe at Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka and claimed that he was an embarrassment to the nation simply because she did not want to hear the truth. How many people will the worst first lady in the history of Nigeria insult while her husband, the lame President Keeps mute? Of course, he cannot control her and she plays the role of the husband in African parlance.
Our ‘imbecile’ Lady of Aso Rock should hire Professor Soyinka’s ex-students to teach her English rather than ‘abuse’ him. After all, her husband was once ‘a children’. Hehehe! Her series of flawed English turned her into a national comedienne. Her husband allegedly taught her at the University of Port Harcourt while he was a lecturer.
She hates Amaechi because she wants an Okrika man to be governor after Amaechi. Unfortunately for Patience, she is not restrained at all. She can say anything and do anything without inhibition. That is why I congratulate TheNEWS on that in-depth research. Mrs. Jonathan once embarrassed Amaechi at a public function in Okrika. That was uncivilised. I think without further delay, Patience should be humble enough to publicly tender an unreserved apology for that attitude because being a president’s wife doesn’t give her the licence to be rude. Who will take what Patience did? That shows how impatient she is and that shows you how much Amaechi has absorbed. She humiliates him everytime. Jonathan caused it because he can’t say no to whatever his wife says. He is a very weak husband and he is a very weak president. Whatever she says must happen. How can anybody read that well researched cover story of your magazine and feel glorified. If I were Mrs. Jonathan, after reading TheNEWS magazine, I’d leave Abuja and go on sabbatical for a long time. How can she face the public now with such revelations of her unconstitutionality? Whenever she goes out with her husband, she stays in front and the husband stays behind her. Nigeria should not take this and the earlier we rose to say this nonsense must stop, the better.

The Rivers State Commissioner of Police Joseph Mbu was accused of purposely not allowing the police to restore order during the fracas by keeping the police away from the scene but he denied the allegation against him. However, associations like the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), Rivers women and students have called for the removal of Mbu as soon as possible. Governor Rotimi Amaechi has petitioned the Police Service Commission on Mbu.
The soldiers guarding Governor Amaechi in Rivers State were recalled while soldiers presently guard Jesus Patience Jonathan’s private guest house in Bayelsa State with guns and an armored tank. The presidency was probably trying to tell the world that the life of an elected governor is not as worthy as the guest house of an unelected first lady. When will the political madness in Rivers State stop? Bipi was shouting, “I want to die” when he was not allowed to enter the State House of Assembly with his thugs for another planned free-for-all fight.
During the impeachment saga, Governor Rotimi Amaechi reportedly rushed to the venue and rescued some of his supporters from the fight. Amachree was a target of impeachment because he is a supporter of Amaechi. The master plan was to replace Amachree with devotee Bipi, the political son of Jesus Patience Jonathan. It would have been easier for Bipi to plot the impeachment of Governor Amaechi if he were the Speaker. The impeachment plot of the five mischievous lawmakers and the Jesus of Rivers State failed woefully.
