Undemocratic ‘Comedy’ Posters

By Danielle Lobito

Maybe ‘The Jonathans’ should become a sitcom because President Goodluck Jonathan made us giggle when he gave the impression that he did not know the sponsors of the midnight billboards posters in his favour. Who said there is no vacancy in Aso Rock Presidential Villa in 2015? One bad term does not deserve another. It is enough to ruin a country.

The Presidency 'ordered' the State Security Service (SSS) to find the sponsor of the posters. The SSS should search Aso Rock. The only snag is that the SSS is controlled by the presidency because it is not independent. Even if a poster or any evidence is found inside Aso Rock we may never hear about it. The senior Jonathans are attention seekers. We are trying not to give them attention in 2013 or until they are ‘forced’ out of Aso Rock. Why start the New Year by upsetting the masses? 2015 ko 2016 ni!

Jonathan and his sycophants should know by now that they are rent-free lodgers in Aso Rock. If the Federal Executive Council is suffering from lack of ideas, why not advertise and pay for ideas or recruit independent policy-makers? These 'comedy' posters are undemocratic indeed! The failed Presidency is like a husband who cannot perform in the bedroom, telling his wife that she would deliver triplets by 2015. The Presidency needs a Viagra of good advisers who can say the truth.
