Ultimate Big Brother: Coolio v Nadia

Rapper Coolio aka Artis Leon Ivey, Jr

The brawl between US Rapper Coolio and Nadia Almada on Ultimate Big Brother (Channel 4) was unexpected. Coolio was very annoying and got on the nerves of some housemates. The British reality TV show was a bit boring until former housemates gradually moved into the Big Brother house. Coolio did pep up the show.

He started off by asking Nadia some questions that could jokingly be classified as "sentitive data". Since he knew that she was a transsexual or a man who had a sex change, he should not have bothered to ask her personal questions or throw verbal missiles in her direction.

At 47, Coolio loves to joke and jive without knowing when to stop. Nadia got angry and told him to stop talking to her. He said it was his house and she would have to put up with him for another week and she was aggravated. Unfortunately, he did not last another week in the house.

The good side of dominant Coolio was when he bothered to informally apologize to Nadia but she walked away… He confessed that he was no longer a gangster but it looked as if he loves unwarranted utterances. Coolio was more or less a Big Brother ‘tormentor’. Nikki Grahame said he was “vile” behind his back and Michelle Bass did not like him.

Part two of Coolio’s argument with Nadia turned out to be unpleasant and worse than part one. Coolio played a prank on her by hiding her shoes and clothes. She lost her temper, cried, spluttered unprintable words and told Big Brother that she had lost her 'dignity' and 'self respect'. Coolio had a chat with Big Brother and was ‘advised’ to leave the show last Saturday because Nadia initially threatened to leave if Coolio refused to. In 2009, it was:

Coolio V Most people in the house
Celeb BB9 saw Channel 4 in the firing line for comments made by US rapper Coolio. Ofcom received 527 complaints about the rapper bullying other housemates but rejected these stating that that Big Brother is the "type of programme that will almost inevitably contain controversial material".

The divorced father and veteran rapper made a come back in 2008 with the album “Steal Hear” and a 2009 album titled ‘From The Bottom 2 The top’. The issue of Coolio claiming that he is no longer a gangster was ‘confusing’. According to his fan club and Wikipedia, he used to hang around with the Crisp gang but 'was never formally accepted' as a gang member. Was Coolio referring to another gang?

Coolio's 1995 song "Gangsta's Paradise" received several awards, including Best Rap Solo Performance at the Grammy Awards; and Best Rap Video and Best Video from a Film at the MTV Video Music Awards. Coolio himself has received several awards, including Favorite Rap/Hip Hop Artist at the American Music Awards in 1996. At the Grammy Awards in 1997, Coolio received three nominations: Best Rap Album for Gangsta's Paradise, Best Rap Solo Performance for "1, 2, 3, 4 (Sumpin' New)", and Best R&B Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group for "Stomp". Overall, Coolio has received five awards from thirteen nominations.

Chantelle’s 'Crazy' Crush for Coolio

Chantelle Houghton, 27, confessed to housemate Makosi Musambasi that she had a crush on fellow divorcee Coolio, after he left the Ultimate Big Brother house.
Coolio gave her a lot of attention in the house and reportedly kissed the back of her neck. Channel 4 also showed Coolio 'grabbing' her but he used a bed sheet to cover the scene. It was difficult to see what he actually ‘tried’ to do.

Chantelle’s ex-husband Samuel Preston is also in the house. She probably got close to Coolio who loves voluptuous women in order to get Preston jealous. She still loves Preston whom she met in the Big Brother house in 2006 and also had a boob job to get over him.

I don’t think Chantelle and Coolio were serious about each other although Chantelle was unhappy when he left the house. If they had met outside Ultimate Big Brother would they have had an affair? Why not?

I don't agree with the housemates that felt that Coolio was trying to get them out so that he could win. The Big Brother house is like a prison to Coolio therefore he would do anyway 'wrong' in order to get out. Coolio ‘cannot’ do without two things for long. What? Your guess is as good as mine.

Coolio's 'Wild' Gay Fans

Look at Cooilo on stage at a Gay Concert in Dublin, Ireland. His jokes on Nadia were probably not intended to make her cry as a transsexual.

If he disliked the transsexual and gay communities that much he most probably would have turned down the Dublin gig. Neither would he be seen hugging 'lesbians' on stage. Ultimate Big Brother is just a game! What do you think?
