The real love story of Nollywood film Director Daniel Ademinokan, actress Doris Simeon and actress Stella Damasus would make an interesting movie script. The actresses fell in love with the young director at different times. Daniel was married to Doris until they broke up in 2012. They have a cute little boy. He moved on with Stella and allegedly divorced Doris. He denied dating Stella until they moved to New York, USA from Nigeria and got married secretly a few months ago.
It must be emphasized that Stella was formerly married to late singer Jaiye Aboderin, the brother of singer Wunmi Obe (nee Aboderin). Stella is also a singer and TV presenter. Stella later married 'an' Nzeribe but it did not last long. Jaiye and Wunmi are some of the children of late Chief Olu Aboderin, the founder of Punch Newspapers.
Recently, Stella had a wonderful birthday bash in New York and Daniel reportedly bought her a car. Bloggers were shocked to see Wunmi Obe’s tweet that strongly suggested unpalatable things about her brother's death. Jaiye Aboderin reportedly died of heart attack. During Stella’s marriage to Jaiye, she was accused of cheating on him. Wunmi Obe tweeted:
The ‘loser’ in this love battle is actress Doris Simeon because Daniel more or less ‘ruined’ her career for a while. She married him at a time that she was booming in the Yoruba film industry with millions of fans. If she had not married Daniel, she most probably would have made a lot of money in the movie industry but who are we to question Cupid the Roman god of love?
Daniel had a lot of problems on the home front. Marriage did not favour Daniel and Doris as they could hardly make ends meet with a child and face the rigours of their highly competitive jobs. Daniel took the option of looking for a better job far from Lagos in Abuja and worked with Stella. Somehow, Stella and Daniel fell madly in love. For a widow, mother and divorcee like Stella, Daniel was godsent. If you were in Stella’s shoes at 35, could you afford not to marry Daniel? Emotionally, she has been through a lot and says, "I choose to enjoy my life because I know I deserve it. Nobody went through my own trying times with me and I did not go through any with others."
However, a lot of people pity Doris because she is left in the cold to sort out her career and move on with her life. Her love story may be an example… Marriage may not bring happiness. At the same time, being in love does not mean that you should marry. Of course, it is better to marry who you love. However, compatibility and sufficient money matter nowadays unless you want to risk being worse off.
Doris should try to be strong because this is one of the saddest times in her life so far. We hope people close to her are able to make her happy. If possible, Doris should go on holiday for some weeks in order to put the past behind her. Apart from Nollywood, she also acts in Yoruba films although she is not a Yoruba woman. Take heart Doris!

King Jona’s Miracle, By Pius Adesanmi
And there was great rejoicing among King Jona and his brothers from the creek, Asarius and Tompolus. And they invited the palace servants to partake of the great feast. One was Orontus and the other was Renokrim, also of the creeks. One was Dokupemus, a moneychanger who hath robbed people in the land of the farmers in the middlelands and the traders in the east before he found favor with King Jona as a trumpeter. The other was Reuben the Ogunite, a junior trumpeter to Dokupemus.
And when their bellies hath filled with food and wine, Dokupemus and Reuben cried forth and saith unto the assembly of King Jona and his brothers from the creek: “though we come from the land of the merrymakers to the west, it is meet that we spit on the land of our forbears and adopt your land. The gods of your creeks shall be our gods and the ancestors of your creeks shall be our ancestors.” And it pleased King Jona and Asarius and Tompolus what they heard from these two servants whereupon King Jona saith: “Dokupemus and Reuben my humble servants, our gods shall be your gods and our ancestors shall be your ancestors.”And they made merry.
