1. The Scammer or gigolo shows too much interest in you when you are not a former beauty queen. Beware!! Especially if he gets in touch too often as if he has nothing better to do.
2. He tells you he loves you often and always wait for your reaction as if he was planning a new strategy. Each time, you hear, “I love you darling”; you behave as if your life depends on him. Beware!!
3. He tells you to send nude photographs of yourself. Be careful, it could be used to blackmail you later.
4. He keeps asking for large sums of money to be wired to him as if money grows on trees. You should never send a penny to any internet lover unless you want to be swindled. Even if he says he is broke, tell him you are broke too. Never attempt to buy love on the internet. If you fail to send money requested often, he may classify you as “bad market” and give up on you as a hard nut to crack.
5. He tells you his birthday is coming up soon. How are you sure that he does not celebrate his birthday monthly as a scammer? Send him free eCards. Do not waste your money.
6. Each time you want to see him for the first time, he pulls a fast one by opting out at the last minute e.g., even after you have sent him some money for a flight ticket. He may continue to pull a fast one until he has drained your bank account. Are you a fool? People blame scammers most of the time but sometimes the victims should be blamed too.
7. Always listen to the advice of your family on your internet affair when they can see that you are behaving strangely. Once you fall for a scammer it may be very difficult for you to stop sending money to him until you are bankrupt or dumped. You may start behaving as if you are betting your money on him. In most cases, Voodoo is used to imprison your mind and make you gullible. It is better to quickly stop the affair than fall as the victim of a powerful love scam.
8. If you try to dump him, he may stage-manage a suicide attempt with the aid of a syndicate. Do not fall for such crap. Run!! He needs to keep collecting your money until you are bankrupt as your scammer. He is ‘living’ on the money you send to him.
9. Do not give him your home address. If he keeps asking, tell him you may soon move. Don’t allow your address to be used for fraudulent activities. He can even get his fake family to visit you via a syndicate.
10. If he gives you instruction to do things for him often and argue with you when you are unable to do what he wants e.g., to send money to him. You should be able to suspect that he is a scammer like the other 9 examples. Cut him off immediately. Change your landline phone number(s), mobile phone sim card(s) and cancel your email addresses ASAP. Good luck!

She was shocked by the innuendoes that strongly suggested that she was either dating her ex or trying to frantically lure him into a fresh affair after decades. They moved on a long time ago. It is almost impossible for them to fall in love again. It is absurd to make such remarks simply because specific ‘contents’ were coincidental. He was probably embarrassed by such assumptions too. As they say, what goes around comes around.
