Henry Bonsu is a popular British broadcaster of Ghanaian descent. In 2004, he became controversial when he was ‘booted’ out of BBC London 94.9FM, for being "too intellectual". In 2006, he co-founded Colourful Radio with Kofi Kusitor. Colourful Radio ‘is the first ever British black-led radio operation that has focused on speech instead of music…'

Not so well known for his print journalism, he has nonetheless has written for the Times, Mail on Sunday, Daily Express, The Voice, New Nation, Pride Magazine, and the London Evening Standard. He is also UK correspondent for Black Entertainment Television, and presents regular discussion programmes on Press TV and Vox Africa.
Presenter Info

Bonsu presents Shoot The Messenger on Vox Africa (Sky Channel 218) on Sunday at 1pm and 7pm. It is one of the most interesting programmes on satellite TV. Last May, he was at the charity peace match on African Union Day, which was organised by Michael Essien in Ghana. He interviewed three famous black footballers, Asamoah Gyan aka rapper Baby Jet, Nwankwo Kanu and Ashley Cole.

Cole told Bonsu that he does not like talking a lot as a shy person and was later whisked away by security officials; one of whom told Bonsu, “Enough, enough…” It was obvious that Ashley received extra star status in Ghana and was ‘over’ protected 24/7.
