As they leave the country, Oborne concludes that the killings have only just begun and that Nigeria may be about to embark on a bloody civil war.

Wailing mourners at the mass burial: AP/Jon Gambrell
Last Friday, Channel 4 showed a documentary on a village massacre, near Jos at 7.30pm. A repeat of Unreported World: Nigeria's Killing Fields will be aired on April 9 at 3.35am (next Friday). Apart from national TV (UK), Channel 4 is available on cable and satellite TV e.g. Sky Channel 104.
Reporter Peter Oborne did a thorough investigation on the religious and ethnic violence at his own risk with director Andy Wells. It will be recalled that a Radio Nigeria reporter, Murtala Sani who went to cover the mass burial at Dogo Na Huwa village was ambushed and battered by angry mourners. Oborne concluded that the government is unlikely to stop further killings.
We hope the government, legislature and security agencies take urgent steps to resolve violence in the region rather than denounce or overlook the conclusion of journalists; like the Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi's comment on the massacre.
It was evident that some Nigerians trust the media than the police. Oborne was shown clear video clips of the massacre, recorded on mobile phones. Young men even told him that they killed in self defence. Some kids were buried alive in sewers and wells. The real motives behind the barbaric massacre are revealed in the documentary. You can watch the documentary here; if you don't mind seeing dead bodies. May their souls rest in peace?

Police Intercept Arms Movement To Jos
each time I contemplate Jos, the story, the pictures, the reality – past, present, and oncoming, the senselessness,I get scared.I shake. And I get angry.
The photograph of a mother and child roasted alive is horrific. Their charred bodies made me wonder if a section of Nigerians are not barbarians after all. Another photograph of kids with their brains and limbs chopped off also made me shiver. Some people are heartless… The link below could make you shiver too. 🙁http://www.thetimesofnigeria.com/TON/resources/images/Burnt%20body%20of%20mother%20and%20child%20in%20Jos.jpg
^ I stopped seeing the photos, for what its worth. I cant. But, its not exactly an issue of Nigerian being barbarians.Any subset of humans, whereever on the face of the earth, that goes thru what Nigerians undergo already – deception / extreme suffering in the midst of so much and controlled Zombie-ism – would do all these things.Thats not an excuse of course, but an illumination of the situation. We made ourselves into barbarians. Its scary.
