RIVER RIBADU
Ribadu, most badass man alive
Whisked to Kuru for ‘Kuru-kuru’ studies
A way to muzzle a watchdog under their noses
A way to sustain the looting ways of life
A way to revenge treasury defeat
A way to cow a badass
Ribadu, most badass man alive
You are like a river
That flows through the states
A river which flows
Past all and sundry
To purge hidden loot
Brought back in ships on River Ribadu
From the sea en route Europe to Africa
Ribadu, most badass man alive
Where were you last December 4?
‘Retrenchment’ Panel waited in vain
With senior ‘blue boys’ et al
Were the pen pushers wrong?
Somebody ‘must’ hang the dog
While activists’ bell the cat
Legal luminary Gani Fawehinmi and all…
Ribadu, most badass man alive
Where are you now?
No where to be found…
But still on the soil
Human Rights Watch did say…
Your life was at stake
May we not see a black mass.
